| | The TRD Cold Air Intake system takes cool air from behind and below the headlight area, rather than hot
air from the engine compartment, giving the engine a denser, cooler air supply for increased horsepower
and improved cooling. It is designed to work with the factory ECU and emissions system and is emissions legal in all 50 states. The system has been shown to increase power up to 11.2 HP at 6,750 RPM, and increase torque as much as 9.0 ft-lbs. at 6,750 RPM (tested on a 2003, 6-speed Matrix). The intake tube works with the existing MAF
sensor to ensure the proper air/fuel ratio; the smooth contoured shape increases cylinder filling for smooth
response and drivability. The conical air filter can be cleaned and reused for the life of the car. |
